See It, Believe It, Achieve it

In order to be successful, we of course have to have dreams and goals. Without them, there is no ambition or desire to be more then what we are. Thinking about something we want to have or achieve, however, isn’t enough.

Many have heard of the story of the Harvard graduating class. They asked who had goals and how many of them had written them down. Only 3% had written them down and when they checked in on those 3% twenty years later, they were earning ten times as much as the other grads combined. First of all, the study didn’t really exist other than in goal setting seminars and books, but in reality, since that story has been told for decades, other studies have been done that do show astonishing results.

So lets look at the reality of it all. If we do write down our goals or put pictures of things we desire or a lifestyle we hope to achieve one day on our refrigerator, it is no doubt going to keep us focused on them. We can go so far as to put ourselves in the goal by taking pictures of ourselves in that car we want or in front of the home we desire. We can have fun with it and put ourselves in any picture we want these days with computer software.

When we see ourselves in the picture often enough, it seems normal. Just like any other photo in our album. When you get nostalgic and look through your old photo albums, don’t you start to relive the moments to the point where you actually feel younger or can remember how your were feeling at the time the photo was taken?

So if seeing something often enough, helps our mind to believe that it is possible, why don’t we all have dream boards around our homes and goal sheets in our pockets. I’ve personally seen such dream boards in the homes of millionaire associates of mine and seen folded up index cards in their wallets that have thirty or sixty day personal goals for health, business and other things they want. Each time they look in their wallet, they see the card. Sometimes they take it out, unfold it and read what it says usually to discover that they can cross something off as accomplished.

In order to achieve our goals we need to see them, either in writing or in picture form. When we see them often enough, we believe and it is only a matter of time till we accomplish them. It never fails to amaze me the stories I’ve heard from hundreds of people over the years and witnessed in my own life.

If you have a personal story, share it as a comment.

Branding is a Powerful Marketing Tool

The upshot of branding is fairly self explanatory, but for those who are a little unsure, here is what you can do with branding. The first thing people think of when they hear the word brand or branding on the web is probably PDFs or eBooks which are hugely popular. I’m sure many of you have downloaded eBooks which have been branded or even offer to give you branding rights, and it’s a great way to spread your own brand or affiliate link to the web. By giving away branded eBooks either free or as an incentive to join your optin list or newsletter, is a very powerful viral marketing tool, and here’s why…

PDFs are just the tip of the iceberg;

You can also brand many software applications or scripts with your messages. In fact offering branding rights to software titles is a fantastic way to increase sales, why? Quite simply the incentive to the buyer is irrefutable. Think about software programs which serve a useful and especially time saving job. People always need solutions to cut down on their working day and spend more time with their families. And if you can come up with a unique or even novel way to save time then you’re on to a winner.

Finding software products to Brand

There are several companies that specialise in selling branding rights, you can buy individual branding rights for one product, or join one of the many membership sites like AX Gold or IM Buzz to brand multiple titles, and remember big software companies you may be familiar with have long since discovered the best solution to this problem. They buy software from third party developers, and then add their company name. If you want to go the whole hog and develop your own software then you can hire a software techie from the likes of sitepoint.com or check out the warrior forum, one word of caution, do not part with you cash until you have your product.

Searching for eBooks to Brand

If you’re looking for free eBooks to brand you shouldn’t have too much problem finding them, a great place to start is JVs or Joint Ventures, you only need to give your email address and then help yourself. Just make sure that they give a generous amount of links to brand, if you’re lucky the download will come with a brander application which is as easy as pie to use. Of course if you feel you have the writing skills to produce your own eBooks then that’s great. There are lots of programs out there to help you design and publish your eBook.

Here are some more ways to promote your branded products.
Ways to market brandable information

• Give them away as Free bonuses to get new subscribers

• Offer them to your current newsletter subscribers

• Offer them at your website as free content downloads

• Present them via a popup / pop under or pop over screen

• Submit them to free search engines

• Post them in forums & announcement directories

• Advertise them in eZine ads & pay per click campaigns

• Create your own special reports based on affiliate products

• Promote others eBooks & reports branded by you

• Base an article on a report linking it to the report signup page

• Let others give them away

• Use them in JV deals (Joint Ventures)

And it’s all possible because of branding!
By giving Free Reports away, you can dramatically build your email list and boost YOUR affiliate commissions. The more viral reports you use in your marketing, the more it will increase your opportunities! Another great incentive for you to pass along free viral reports is the fact that more and more people are becoming interested in knowing how to brand PDF files. They want to know how they can create their own viral marketing funnel by branding eBooks’ and reports, and are willing to dig out their wallets in the process.

Why is My Business Card Ineffective?

Have you been giving out your custom business cards but you do not seem to get a phone call? Did you spend a significant amount of money for business card printing only to find that no one really cares to look at them? Are you having difficulty giving out your custom business cards altogether? There are several ways why a business card can fail. This usually relates to you, the business card holder yourself, or the look and feel of your business card. Here we have collected several common reasons why people ignore your business cards, or throw them out altogether. Try to see where you got it wrong.

Poor Business card etiquette: The most common reason why business cards get thrown out is because of poor business card etiquette. Some people might not know it but there is more to giving business cards than just whipping it out and giving it to people like a flier. Give your business cards in good taste, and for a reason. When you encounter a possible business contact, be friendly and ask about them. Do not just give them your business card. Explore each others interests first, especially in business. If something comes up that is related to your field then it is a good time to introduce yourself as someone who wants to do business and give them your business card. This way you establish a real relationship with the color business card as the bridge.

Internationally, there are also some important business card etiquette reminders you should follow. In general, when you are giving your business cards, also ask if the receiver has his or her own business card at hand. This way it tells them that you care for making a contact and not marketing yourself. Also in some countries a specific gesture must be made to give business cards. In Japan for example, your business card is your honor. It is presented with both hands carefully, with a small bow to denote respect. Whipping out your full color business card and just casually handing it over is a sign of ill manners. Make sure that when you visit another country you know business card customs like this to prevent from appearing a rude or ignorant foreigner. Business card etiquette is just as important as the card itself so don’t forget about them.

Incomplete, Outdated or Dubious details Some people, on the rush to print business cards do not check the details and the fine print. A common reason why business cards fail is that the details contained in the business card is wrong. For example, if your company suddenly moves to a new location, or you suddenly changed phone or fax numbers your business card details are automatically invalid. When people attempt to contact you again, they will fail to reach you. People might think that your business card might be a bit dubious and throw it away. Even if it is only a little change, always update your business card design with new details and print business cards again for distribution. This ensures its integrity. Make sure that the pertinent contact details like the telephone number, mobile phone number, address, web page URL and email address are included with your name and title as you print your designs again. Stop being cute.

Uninspired Design If you used a simple business card template for your card design then that might be the reason why your business card is failing. Uninspired designs are a mark of laziness when it comes to business card printing. Your design must be eye-catching, easily noticeable and if possible have a picture of you, or an image if your business. This helps people remember you card based on its design. Plain business cards are hardly interesting and would probably end up in the trash.

Substandard material Lastly, try to print your business cards made with durable materials. Picking out the cheapest paper to print your business card is totally the wrong decision to make. People place business cards in different places like their wallets, drawers, handbags etc. Besides the usual wear and tear, accidents may happen and business cards can degrade or fade over time. If your business cards become shabby after only a short amount of time, some people might not consider contacting their owners. Always invest in the best material you can afford so that your business cards last well in the years.

Those are the reasons why your business card can fail. Sound familiar? If they do, then you have something t o improve upon before the next opportunity for giving your business cards. Keep a steady head and make those cards fly!

Which a better buy, Samsonite luggage or Victorinox? Why?

I’m going to invest in my first ever piece of luggage and I’m deciding between these two brands. I want to know which one is a better buy with respect to quality and durability and why. Also, if there are particular styles of each of the brands that you want to suggest, then go right ahead.
Also, do add Rimowa to that mix. I found out about it today and it seems like it’s a good contender.

Again, I need solid reasons/selling points.:) Thanks!

Samonsite! by far i have used this brand personally and love it!

Branding a Nation: Don’t Stuff With the Australian Brand

Another year…another year of predicted doom and gloom. Yes, the celebrity bureaucrats from Tourism Australia have predicted the number of foreign visitors will plummet this coming year, even after they spent tens of millions of dollars on another failed advertising campaign. Not to mention that MOVIE or its massive tax relief. Is branding Australia that hard?

I don’t think so. If you look at the bare facts, Australia’s lack of visitors has nothing to do with being seen or heard. Our key brands SYDNEY and AUSTRALIA are continually being voted as number 1# travel destinations.

So what are the celebrity bureaucrats doing wrong? Well, my own cynicism says it’s something to do with our tourism elite wanting to move away from our low brow beach culture of sun, sea, surf and bronzed Aussie’s. It must be too crass for them…

I have the impression they’d like to remove the cringe factor by repositioning Australia as a sophisticated destination for the middle aged adventurous traveller who is into natural, cultural and spiritual awareness.

Travellers willing to climb aboard a white 4WD, drive through hot deserts and beautiful bushland, roughing it in green tents and being at one with happy aboriginals.

Let’s face it people, most foreigners visiting Australia are looking for a coastal paradise with beautiful beaches, long sunny days, big surf and lots of bronzed Aussie guys and girls saying “G’day mate.”

Just think about it, fat middle aged Yank’s, Brit’s, Jap’s or Chinese with fat wallets aren’t going to travel half way round the world in there millions to spend three weeks roughing it in a rent-a-tent with no amenities just outside Dungog or Cessnock? Nothing wrong with Dungog or Cessnock…

Australia’s real point of difference is its modern beach lifestyle. Remember people, its near impossible to change someone’s mind that’s why Paul Hogan’s 1984 “The Wonders Down Under” TV commercial was so successful…

Bring back Hogan! Pity about his problems with the tax office.

Where to find Coach totes for less money?

I am looking for a coach tote but i am on a budget. there is no page i could find.
I want it to be original and not fake. Do you know a page where you could find some? online? or juicy couture or Guess an brand.

I wouldn’t look anywhere online besides a store that normally sells the purses. Any online store selling "authentic coach bags" are NOT authentic. Try to search for outlets near you, the coach outlet stores sell last years bags for at least half of the original price. If I knew your limit I could help you out even more. If you have an actual Coach store near you, these are the recent items coach has made. Usually Poppy totes are the cheapest, and Poppy is a new line. You can get a new poppy bag at a coach store (not outlet) for $198, sometimes cheaper. But if you can find a Coach outlet near you, you can buy a bag as low as $70 :D Macys, and Von Maur also sell the newest coach bags at somewhat of a discount. I would not recommend Ebay, or any other store claiming to sell original coach bags.

Make 2009 the Year of Financial Freedom

If you’re anything like most Americans, money is at the root of your New Year’s resolution. Most of us bid goodbye to 2008 with our wallets a bit thinner and our spending habits a bit humbler. Maybe you’ve pledged to cut back on expenses, get out of debt, or start saving for a house or your kids’ college education. Here at DebtStoppers, we’ve got the tools to make 2009 the year you reach those goals.

Let’s start with credit cards—more specifically, credit card debt. I have it, you have it—in fact, the average American carries nearly $10,000 of it. It was a huge factor in last year’s economic meltdown and it’s also the reason most of us struggle to pay our bills.

But don’t take a pair of scissors to your wallet just yet. Credit cards aren’t exactly evil. Well, maybe they are, but they’re somewhat of a necessary evil. If you didn’t use one at all, you wouldn’t be able to build up a credit history. And without a history, lenders wouldn’t trust you enough to loan you the money to buy a car or house or to pay for a college education.

The problem arises, however, when we use credit for everyday purchases. Because plastic doesn’t require cash upfront, it’s tempting to spend a little extra at the grocery store or on gifts for the kids. And it’s hard to say no to credit when the car or heating unit needs repair. Why wait until you get the money, right?

But unlike cash, check or debit, credit comes with strings attached. Creditors aren’t giving you a waiting period to pay out of the kindness of their hearts. For the “favor” of loaning you money, they want something in return—interest. So that $1,000 flat-screen TV you just put on your card this Christmas? At 25% interest annually, it will actually cost $1,250 (well, probably more because most interest rates are not flat, but compounding—but that’s another story).

Most cardholders get caught up in a vicious cycle. You want to stop spending more than you make, but you’re paying so much in interest that you can’t afford to make necessary purchases without your card—therefore you continue to rack up debt.

So what can you do to break free? Start paying down your debt—it will be much easier to wean yourself off the plastic if you do. I can’t guarantee the process will be painless, but it can be done. And it will save you money and stress in the long run.

Best yet, you don’t have to do it alone. We can walk you through it. Visit our blog for a wealth of tips and advice. Consider signing up for a free one-on-one debt analysis with one of our debt relief attorneys. Or get a crash course in money matters at our free community workshops, Jan. 15 in Chicago or Jan. 22 in Atlanta, where you’ll also be eligible to win a laptop or GPS system (don’t worry–when these fill up, we’ll schedule more). This can be the year you free yourself from debt. Let’s get the ball rolling.

lost combination on a samsonite briefcase?

my brother has a very old black samsonite briefcase. he lost the combination. how can he open the briefcase.
thanks

By trying all posibilities.

If the lock could be set, first try the logical combinations, like 123, 000, and dates that have a meaning for the person who set the lock.

If you can not work it out that way, start with 0001, 0002, 0003, 0004, and so on.
If the lock only has 3 digits you do need to try 1000 combinations, if it has 4 10000 and so on.

If there are too many options, with 6 numbers in a lock it will take forever, you can try to find people in your area that like to do those things, mostly the people who collect locks will be able to help you to find them.

Or google Samsonite, lost, combination, open and things like that. If there is a shortcut it is likely on Internet already.
